When should I contact you?
Research groups, doctors, and biobanks can contact AB Procurements as soon as they've identified a candidate to request and confirm diener services. Procurement services can also be requested at the time of death.
What about COVID-19 and other contagious diseases?
Brain and spine procurements cannot be performed on individuals diagnosed with the following diseases at or within 30 days of death:
- CJD also known as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
- Ebola
- Monkey Pox
- Tuberculosis
Can you hold my loved one's brain while I search for a research group?
No. Procurement requests must be completely fulfilled by the time of death. AB Procurements does not provide any recommendations of research groups, doctors, or biobanks.
Is there a fee for procurement?
Procurement fees are based on the services performed and location of the decedent. Procurement fees can be paid by the requesting research entity or the family.
Who pays you?
AB Procurements accepts payment for diener service from the requesting research group/doctor and families. Acceptable forms of payment include major credit cards, PayPal, Zelle, and electronic bank transfers.
